Somatic Support
What is somatic Therapy?
Trauma is stored in our bodies, causing us to feel unsafe and threatened by internal sensations, which can lead to chronic symptoms. Somatic therapy aims to help individuals create a sense of internal safety in their bodies, addressing areas that have felt threatening and disconnecting. This process can alleviate a range of mental and physical issues, including emotional imbalances, sleep disturbances, bodily constriction, and chronic pain.
Gentleness
The behaviors, addictions, and conflicts we experience are our bodies' attempts to cope with internal distress. This ongoing struggle leaves our bodies inflamed, exhausted, and overwhelmed, making daily functioning difficult. We don't have to relive our traumatic events to restore a sense of safety. Instead, we work together to help you relearn how to feel safe and trust your body's natural intelligence
Grounding
You don't need to heal all your trauma to live a fulfilling life. Learning to identify your internal sense of safety during moments of distress will help you thrive in stressful environments. This will enable you to feel more grounded in yourself, no matter how unstable your circumstances may become.
